Welcome to EngLog. By accessing or using this Application, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using the platform.
ENGLOG is an independent digital engineering record-management application. It is not a Government application and has not been represented as a Government-authorized system. Government employees may register and use it voluntarily for maintaining and organizing their professional records. Users are responsible for complying with their departmental rules regarding the use of official information.
1. Nature of the Platform
EngLog is an independently developed facilitation platform and is not owned, operated, administered, or officially endorsed by any Government Department unless specifically notified through official orders. The platform is intended only to assist users in maintaining digital records and improving work management efficiency.
2. User Eligibility
The Application may be used only by authorized Government employees, engineers, contract personnel, field staff, and other approved users. Users shall use the platform only for lawful and authorized purposes.
3. User Responsibilities
Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of uploaded data, authenticity of reports, correctness of field entries, legality of uploaded information, and maintaining confidentiality of login credentials. The Application owner shall not be responsible for false, misleading, incomplete, or unauthorized information entered by users.
4. No Official Government Record Status
Data entered into this Application shall not automatically be considered an official Government record unless separately approved, adopted, or certified by the concerned Department or competent authority. Users shall continue to comply with departmental procedures, reporting systems, and official documentation requirements.
5. Data Privacy and Security
Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are implemented to protect user information. Users are advised not to upload classified Government documents, sensitive security-related information, confidential project data without authorization, passwords or secure credentials, or citizen personal data unless officially permitted. The Application owner takes reasonable measures for data protection but does not guarantee absolute security against cyber threats.
6. Consent for Data Storage
By using the Application, users consent to collection of operational data, storage of entered records, backup and recovery procedures, processing of data for reporting and analytics, and system monitoring for security purposes.
7. OTP Verification and Account Security
OTP-based verification may be used during user registration, password reset, sensitive data modifications, account recovery, and data deletion requests. Users are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of OTPs, passwords, and account credentials.
8. Uploaded Files, Images, and Geo-Tagged Data
The Application may store photographs, geo-location information, timestamps, inspection details, and supporting field evidence. Such information may be used for activity tracking, reporting, verification, and administrative purposes.
9. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not upload false information, misuse another user's account, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious software or harmful content, use the platform for unlawful activities, or upload confidential data without authorization. Violation may result in suspension or permanent termination of access.
10. Service Availability
The Application owner does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Temporary downtime may occur due to server maintenance, technical failures, internet interruptions, security upgrades, or software updates.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Application owner shall not be liable for data loss, service interruptions, user entry errors, incorrect reports generated from user inputs, administrative actions based on uploaded information, unauthorized access caused by user negligence, or loss arising from third-party services or internet failures. Users utilize the Application at their own discretion and responsibility.
12. Intellectual Property
The Application design, software code, features, workflows, branding, logos, and content remain the intellectual property of the developer/platform owner. Unauthorized copying, reverse engineering, or redistribution is prohibited.
13. Legal Compliance and Regulatory Provisions
The Application and its users shall comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and information technology provisions in force within India — including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and amendments thereof, digital data protection and privacy requirements, cyber security regulations, applicable Government departmental instructions, intellectual property and copyright laws, and any lawful directives issued by competent authorities.
14. Third-Party Hosting and Infrastructure
The Application may utilize third-party infrastructure services including cloud hosting providers, SMS/OTP gateway services, database services, analytics tools, email communication services, and backup/monitoring systems. Such services may process limited operational data strictly for platform functionality. The Application owner shall not be liable for outages, delays, or failures caused by third-party infrastructure providers.
15. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Application shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Andhra Pradesh, India.
16. Compliance with Departmental Rules
Users shall ensure that usage of this Application complies with departmental guidelines, service rules, Government policies, information technology laws, and applicable administrative instructions.
17. Suspension or Termination
The Application owner reserves the right to suspend or terminate access without prior notice in cases involving misuse of the platform, security threats, fraudulent activities, policy violations, or unauthorized data handling.
18. Amendments to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be modified periodically. Continued use of the Application after modifications constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

20. Subscription, Payments & Refund Policy
EngLog may offer paid features under a subscription plan. The current subscription fee is as displayed on the Subscription tab at the time of purchase, payable via UPI or other approved methods. All payments are processed through third-party payment gateways. Since EngLog provides digital services activated immediately on payment confirmation, subscription fees are generally NON-REFUNDABLE once activated, except in cases of duplicate/erroneous charges or proven service-level failures lasting more than seven (7) consecutive days, in which case a pro-rata refund may be considered upon written request to support@digitalengineeringlogbook.com within 15 days of the incident. Refunds, where approved, will be credited to the original payment instrument within 7–14 working days.
21. Communication Consent (SMS, Email, Push)
By registering, you consent to receive transactional, service, security, and administrative communications (including SMS, email, and in-app push notifications) related to OTP verification, password resets, subscription status, system updates, security alerts, and grievance redressal. These communications are essential to the service and are exempt from DND/UCC opt-outs as per TRAI regulations. Promotional/marketing communications, if any, will require separate opt-in and may be unsubscribed at any time.
22. AI-Assisted Features Disclosure
EngLog uses third-party AI/LLM services (e.g., Gemini) to power features such as the AI Help Assistant, automated summaries, image generation, and analytics. Queries you submit to these features may be transmitted to the AI provider for processing strictly to generate a response and are governed by the AI provider's privacy terms. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and should not be relied upon as official advice. Do NOT submit classified information, citizen personal data, passwords, or confidential project documents to AI features.
23. Account Inactivity & Auto-Deletion
Accounts that remain inactive (no login or activity) for a continuous period of 24 months may be flagged for deactivation. Users will be notified by email/SMS at least 30 days prior. If no action is taken, the account and associated non-essential data may be deleted. Audit logs and statutorily-required records may be retained even after account deletion.
24. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Application owner, its developers, employees, agents, and affiliated service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Application; (b) any content or data you upload or submit; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (e) any unauthorized access caused by your negligence in safeguarding credentials.
25. Force Majeure
The Application owner shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, earthquake, war, terrorism, civil unrest, governmental action, internet/telecom outages, cyber-attacks, pandemics, or failures of third-party hosting, payment, or communication providers.
26. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between the user and the Application owner regarding use of the platform and supersede all prior understandings.
27. Survival of Obligations
Provisions relating to user responsibilities, data accuracy, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, jurisdiction, and any payment obligations shall survive termination or suspension of your account and continued use of the Application.
Disclaimer
This Application is a privately developed facilitation platform intended to assist engineers and staff in maintaining work-related digital records. The platform is not an official Government application unless explicitly notified by the concerned authority. Users are solely responsible for the correctness, authenticity, and legality of uploaded information. The Application owner does not guarantee acceptance of data by Government authorities and shall not be liable for decisions taken based on information entered by users. Users shall avoid uploading classified, confidential, or unauthorized Government information.
Data Deletion Policy
Users may request deletion or deactivation of their account from the My Profile section or by contacting the Application administrator. Certain records, audit logs, and backup data may be retained for legal, security, or administrative purposes even after deletion requests. Data deletion requests shall be processed within a reasonable period subject to technical and legal feasibility.
